PRINCIPLES FOR RESOLVING CONFLICT
- Eph 4:1-3: “Work with all your might to keep unity.”
- Eph 4:25-27: “Unresolved conflict gives the devil an opening.”
- Eph 4:29-32: “Choose to put division away and forgive.”
- Eph 6:10-18: “Division IS a satanic attack.” Use your armor!
- Belt – Get the truth. Satan is the father of lies.
- Breastplate – Act righteously toward each other.
- Boots – Will my action lead other people to Christ?
- Shield – Trust God’s plan even if yours seems better.
- Sword – Discover the clear teaching of God’s Word on the issue and follow it.
- PRAY! – In a spiritual war, use spiritual weapons.
- Col 3:12-13: “Show humility and forgiveness.”
- Gal 5:19-20: “Disunity is a work of our sin nature.”
- Gal 6:1-2: “Restore each other gently, like setting a bone.”
- Mt 7:1-5: “Don’t expect perfection. Deal with your own faults.”
- 1 Cor 11:17-19: “Restoring relationships proves we are saved.”
- 1 Cor 1:10, 3:1-3: “Division is sin & carnal.”
- Titus 3:9-11: “Divisive people are sinful and to be rejected.”
- Deal with conflict one issue at a time.
- Resolve conflict before you go to bed.
- Do not allow conflict to “sit”, it will only grow out of proportion.
- Once the conflict has been addressed and confessed, forgive and do not bring it up again

- Divide and conquer
- Fight
- Flight
